St Clarins is a chocolate
silver dapple Gypsy Cob
stallion by The Boss to the US! He is standing for $2,500
plus $500 booking fee. This special stallion has been seen in magazines,
calendars and in many articles making him a flagship representative for the
wonderment of the gypsy horse and the silver dapple color as well as
versatility.
When I selected St Clarins, a chocolate
silver dapple stallion as a 2 year old, as the foundation stallion
for my farm to join my other fine gypsy stallion, Huston, I knew this fellow had
something very special. I have a trained eye as I have been dealing with
equines for over 50 years and have had extended experience with Arabians, AQHA,
Andalusian, APHA and as a youngster Saddlebreds. I have stood stallions and
been a breeder since the 60's and I must say this stallion has impressed me far
and beyond my expectations! He is so special that I felt he had to have a
challenge to show himself off to his noble, baroque presence and something no
other gypsy horse has EVER done throughout the world!
My very dear friend for over 30 years, Terry
Polk, of Los Acres, a highly respected Arabian breeder, had married a terrific
and talented cavalero from Portugal, Jaoa SerraCoelho. He is one of the world's
most accomplished trainers in The Art Of Marialva and the only one who is also a
cavalero, which as explained above, is the highest level of horse and rider one
can accomplish. The style which is used when the horse and bull and rider face
off in the bull ring, bull fighting on horseback, or Portuguese style. NO animal
is killed from horseback. The form of horsemanship and the relationship and
pageantry of this style is the ultimate one can achieve.
Very few horses can accomplish the difficult
moves and as far as I was concerned, CERTAINLY not a gypsy horse, well, I was
WRONG. Apparently, St Clarins is mastering all of the basics with ease and has
surprised and thrilled his trainer and those many visitors who come to their
ranch to see their fine Arabian horses and Jaoa's miraculous training, located
in Lodi, Ca. St Clarins will be returning to Cielo Celeste Farm for breeding
season in March and continue his training when breeding season is over. Watch
for this elegant horse in exhibitions and we will have video dvd etc for your
viewing pleasure. His 2007 first foal crop is stunning and he sure throws
himself!
